Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If a course is significantly different from its description, fails to be delivered, or has a major fault, you are entitled to a remedy under consumer guarantee provisions regardless of this policy.
If you change your mind within 14 days of your first payment, you may request a full refund — no questions asked. To request a refund, email hello@modernedu.com.au with your name and course title. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.
By enrolling on a payment plan, you agree to pay the total course fee in full. A payment plan is a financial commitment to the full course price, not a subscription that can be cancelled at will. The 14-day cooling off period applies from the date of your first payment. If you request a refund within the cooling off period, all payments made will be refunded and future charges will be stopped.
Upfront payments are eligible for a full refund within the 14-day cooling off period. After the 14-day cooling off period, upfront payments are not refundable.
Purchases made via Afterpay are subject to Afterpay's own payment terms. Refund requests for Afterpay purchases should still be directed to Modern Edu. The same cooling off period applies.
Refunds are not available after the 14-day cooling off period. This is consistent with standard practice across the Australian online education industry, due to the significant intellectual property and resources involved in delivering course content. If your circumstances change, we may be able to offer a course transfer or pause your access — contact us to discuss your options.
